Marcelo concentrates his practice in three areas:

Medical Malpractice. Malpractice cases are among the most complex in the law, requiring close review of medical records and work with qualified medical experts. Marcelo has the experience to evaluate whether a provider fell below accepted standards of care and to pursue claims for misdiagnosis, surgical errors, birth injuries, medication mistakes, and more.

Product Liability. When a defective or unsafe product causes harm, the manufacturers and distributors responsible should answer for it. Marcelo helps injured consumers and workers take on companies with substantial resources and legal teams.

Marcelo’s courtroom skill has earned him a strong reputation among his clients and his colleagues in the legal profession. Presiding Justices of the New York State Supreme Court in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn have recognized his skill and professional integrity.

He has negotiated settlements totaling millions of dollars for his clients, and when he and a client have decided that an offer was inadequate, he has taken the case to trial and won significant verdicts. He has also defended many of those verdicts on appeal, securing not only the awards his clients earned but the statutory interest that accrues on them.
